Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DPIIND Services Pvt Ltd (“Nestwise”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the Nestwise Telegram bot and website at nestwise.online (together, the “Service”). We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described below and process it in accordance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) and other applicable laws.
1. Who this policy covers
The Service is used by two kinds of people: owners (landlords and co-owners who manage properties) and tenants (invited by an owner). This policy applies to both.
2. Information we collect
From owners and co-owners
- Name, email address, phone number.
- PAN and, where provided, bank account number and IFSC, and your UPI QR image — used to generate rent receipts and let tenants pay you.
- Your Telegram account identifier (to link and message you).
- Property, unit, ownership-share, and tenant records that you enter.
From tenants
- Name, email address, phone number.
- Government ID type and number (e.g. Aadhaar, PAN, passport, or driving licence) that you provide during onboarding.
- Your Telegram account identifier.
- Rent details, payment screenshots/proofs, transaction references, and the resulting rent ledger and receipts.
Collected automatically
- Basic technical data needed to operate the Service (e.g. server logs). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
3. How we use your data
- To create and manage owner and tenant accounts.
- To run the core rent workflow: reminders, collecting payment proofs, owner verification, generating receipts and IT statements, and owner reports.
- To communicate with you through the Telegram bot.
- To maintain security, prevent misuse, and comply with law.
4. Legal basis and consent
We process personal data based on your consent, given when you register or accept an invitation, and to provide the Service you request. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 8); doing so may prevent us from providing parts of the Service.
5. How your data is shared
- Between tenant and owner. A tenant’s details, payments, and receipts are shared with their own landlord/co-owners, and an owner’s payment details (bank/UPI) are shared with their own tenants — this is the purpose of the Service.
- Service providers. We rely on Telegram (messaging) and our cloud hosting provider to run the Service. Payments happen directly between tenant and owner through UPI/bank apps — Nestwise does not process, hold, or route any money.
- Legal. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights and users’ safety.
- We do not sell your personal data.
6. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and a database that is not exposed to the public internet. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as required for legal, tax, or record-keeping purposes.
Deleting an owner account
An owner can delete their whole account from the portal. Deletion is staged:
- For 30 days the account is scheduled for deletion but can be reactivated with all data intact. Tenants are notified so they can download their own records first.
- After 30 days the account’s data and uploaded files are permanently deleted.
- After that we keep only a minimal record for a limited further period where required by applicable law (currently around 180 days), and then remove it entirely.
Erasing a tenant’s details
Once a tenancy has ended, a tenant may ask for their personal details to be erased. When we do this, we remove identifying information (name, contact details, government ID and Telegram link) but keep the underlying payment, deposit and settlement records, because both the tenant and the owner may need them as proof of rent paid or income received. In other words, we anonymise these shared records rather than delete them.
8. Your rights
Subject to the DPDP Act, you may:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or completion of inaccurate data.
- Request erasure of your data.
- Withdraw consent.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in specified cases.
- Raise a grievance (see Section 11).
You can exercise several of these rights directly in the Service:
- Owners can download a complete copy of their account data, and delete their account, from the portal under “Your data”.
- Tenants can download their own records in the Telegram bot with /mydata (and their receipts with /myreceipts), and request erasure of their personal details after move-out with /erasemydata.
You can also email contact@nestwise.online to exercise any right. Note that some data is controlled by your landlord/owner as part of your tenancy; we will direct such requests appropriately.
9. Third-party services
Using the Service involves Telegram and, for payments, your chosen UPI or banking app. Those services have their own privacy policies, which govern your use of them. We are not responsible for third-party practices.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Grievances and contact
For any questions, requests, or complaints about your data, contact our grievance point of contact:

12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised policy.
